Steven Seagal began training karate at the age of 7 under Fumio Demura and later practiced Aikido in the late 1960s under Harry Ishisaka. When he was 19 years old, Steven left for Japan to study with the masters of Zen, Buddhism and Aikido. Steven is a 7th Degree Black Belt Aikido Master.
